The opening leg of Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping 2015 Europe Division I League took place at the Longines Spring Classic of Flanders in Lummen, Belgium, last 3 May.
On a total of 8 Nations lined out, Italy obtained a wonderful victory. It was the perfect result for the Italians who have a renewed sense of purpose, and a master-plan that they hope will take them all the way to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. With this victory they also collected the maximum 100 qualifying points for the Furusiyya 2015 Final. Italian winning team consisted of Luca Moneta/Neptune Brecourt (4/20), Lorenzo de Luca/Erco van T Roosakker (0/4), Daniele Augusto Da Rios/For Passion (1/0), Piergiorgio Bucci/Casallo Z (1/0) ended with a total of 6 faults ahead of Belgium (12 faults) and Great Britain (12 faults).
“This is a really good start, especially ahead of Rome in three weeks time where we will also be competing for points.” said Hans Horns, Chef d’Equipe.
We are only at the beginning of this long season which comes with very important goals, such as European Championship with the goal of Olympic qualification and the Furusiyva Final 2015. After Lummen, these are the next legs of Europe Division I League up to the Final:
