A wonderful season for Julien Epaillard
The French top rider is getting a number of important victories.
French Julien Epaillard is enjoying a wonderful season. His results are even more important because they are obtained with horses born and bred at Epaillard home, a really big satistfaction for the French top rider. Last Saturday 1° July he obtained a phenomenal Longines Global Champions Tour - Par Eiffel Jumping Grand Prix win with his 9 year old stallion Usual Suspect D’auge (Jarnac x Papillon Rouge). This was the first 5* Grand Prix for the horse, one of the horses born and bred at Epaillard home: “At the beginning it was a bit difficult horse and I had to go slowly with him. But I think Usual Suspect d’Auge is a super-star. He is really careful and has a good head. He is getting easier and easier, and is on a good way but still I want to be careful with him...”, said excited Epaillard.
But the satisfactions are not finished here for the French in the last week: after his Top Series Grand Prix victory, Julien Epaillard continued to reign supreme at the Knokke Hippique Summer Circuit when claiming victory in Sunday's Top Series 1.50m World Ranking class. This time around, Epaillard had partnered up with the 9-year-old gelding Instit de Jucaso (Cooper van de Heffinck x Darco).
In current season Julien Epaillard and his selle Selle Français Quatrin de la Roque (2004, Quick Star x Kannan) obtained a brilliant victory with in Longines FEI World Cup™ Jumping Gran Prix on home ground in Bordeaux.
Six 5* Grand Prix have taken place in France since the beginning of the year and French Julien Epaillard has won two on his own.
