Germany’s Christian Ahlmann ended 2015 season and started off 2016 by winning fourth consecutive five-star Grand Prix. After three World Cup wins in Stuttgart with Codex One, Madrid and Mechelen with Taloubet Z, Christian Ahlmann added another major victory to his list by taking home the CSI5* Longines Grand Prix of Basel, riding his longtime partner Codex One. Only the two lady riders Pénélope Leprévost with Vagabond de la Pomme and Luciana Diniz with Fit For Fun joined the German rider in the jump-off of the two round Grand Prix. Ahlmann was the only one of the three riders in the jump-off without any faults. But these are not the only results of the German Champion in these last weeks: he collected also the victory of Mercedes Master in Stuttgart with Colorit, second place in Grand Prix FEI World Cup CSI Lyon with Taloubet Z last November and fourth place in Rolex/IJRC Top Ten in Geneve with Codex One last December.
The victories of fourth consecutive five-stars Grand Prix maybe could be a new record in the history of show jumping.
