The second-round line-up included five riders carrying just a single time-penalty, and the fastest four-faulters. At the end, von Eckermann with Cantinero giving an exhibition of classic jumping, went out in front with the clock showing 48.67. Second place for the World Champion couple Jeroen Dubbledam and Zenith and third for the World Champion by Team couple Maikel van der Vleuten and Arera C.
