He is one of the most important riders on the international scene and the backbone of the Spanish team. He started to ride at seven and he lead an excellent junior career culminated with the victory of the European Championship in 2001 riding Flash de la Ramee. In 2003 he decided to deepen his tecnique moving to Belgium, where he stay for six years before coming back to Spain and settled permanently with his brother in La Coruna.
Formed in the school of one of the most important trainer, Victor Aguero, Moya has rapidly climbed the show jumping charts, also thanks to race fellow as the formidable Action Breaker, which won the Grand Prix of Aachen in 2010 and took part in the World Championships in Caen 2014 and in Lexington 2010. His name in recent years is also related to Charles 273, the formidable gray, mounted earlier by Nick Skelton, one of the 'myths' of Moya. With Sergio Moya, tooks part in the European Championships in Aachen 2015, closing with an excellent sixth place in the individual, and Herning in 2013, as well as two World Cup Finals in Las Vegas in 2015 and Gothenburg in 2013 where he finished in 4th place.
Until today, Moya took part in three World Championships, eight European Championships and 3 Fei World Cup Finals.
