Madrid, December 1, 2024 – Piergiorgio Bucci, an outstanding Italian rider and proud Animo Testimonial, delivered a stellar performance to win the CSI5*-W Grand Prix of Madrid. Riding the phenomenal Hantano, Bucci triumphed in the sixth leg of the Western European League of the World Cup, securing a remarkable victory among the world’s best riders.

A Thrilling Jump-Off Among the Best

The high-stakes competition culminated in a thrilling jump-off featuring 13 elite combinations. Among the competitors were some of the sport’s most formidable names: Martin Fuchs with Conner Jei, Steve Guerdat with Lancelotta, and Julien Epaillard with Donatello d’Auge. While Epaillard clocked the fastest time, a costly fault denied him the top spot.

Bucci entered the jump-off as the third-to-last rider, demonstrating precision and nerves of steel under immense pressure. He completed a flawless round in 40.77 seconds, leaving the crowd in awe. With only two riders remaining—Kim Emmen on Imagine and Michael Pender on Los Angeles—the tension was palpable. Emmen incurred penalties, while Pender delivered a nearly perfect round but fell short with a time of 41.42 seconds. The victory belonged to Piergiorgio Bucci and his exceptional partner, Hantano.
