Jumping Rider
The British Olympic rider Robert Smith, born in Yorkshire, is one of the icons of the international show jumping world. He represented Great Britain in more than one hundred Nations Cups winning twenty of those. Son of the legendary Harvey Smith, a great rider and horseman, Robert is not only one of the most renowned riders but also an extraordinary trainer. In his stable, in Warwickshire, the land of William Shakespeare, he hosts many riders that come from all over Europe to take part at his internships. His long career as a rider at the top of show jumping also allowed him to gain experience on the knowledge of the horses; the strength of his activity is the way he grows and works with young horses.
​Robert Smith got the individual 4th place at the Athens Olympics in 2000 with Mister Springfield and took part at the World Championships in Lexington 2010 with Talan. Two participations at the European Championships. Donaueschingen 2003 with Mister Springfield and Mannheim 1997 where he won the team bronze medal with Tees Hanauer. He also took part at four World Cup Finals.
